I have some more photos to share with you that were taken by my son Robert. Only 4 this time but lovely none the less. Enjoy and marvel.

Well, as you all know, I was asked last year to write a book for beginners on soapmaking. This I duly did and after what feels like an eternity the book (actually there is a set of six books in the series to start with) is now in print.
I have 3 copies here, one of which I will give to my mom, as without her generosity and support it may well have gone unwritten.
A review that was very kindly done for me by Carrie from the bookshop in Oswestry called Booka.
An inspiring and straightforward introduction to soap making. The book includes just the right balance of technical detail, scientific explanation and practical advice to guide the beginner soap-maker. In addition the step by step instructions are complemented by numbered photographs which clearly illustrate the soap making process. It is written in a friendly, helpful style showing the experience of the author and building confidence in the reader to have a go. The photographs and styling show case a high quality end product which would satisfy those who wish to create home made products as gifts.
Just to get you into the mood for Spring and marvel at Mother Nature here are some lovely photos taken by my son Robert and his trusty camera.
