Happy New Year 2021

Happy New Year to you all. May your spirits stay bright. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas in whatever way you were able to celebrate.

My birthday is New Year's Day and this year I was the Big 60. Originally a family picnic was planned at Lake Vyrnwy but due to restrictions it didn't happen.

I popped down to see my mom and stepdad for a couple of hours then came home and pottered around at home. Not quite the way I imagined my birthday but I did get a beautiful  bouquet of flowers from the castle staff the day before. A white bouquet. It smells gorgeous as there are some beautiful white lilies in it. Lillies are one of my fave flowers along with poppies.

On the 2nd of January, my friend Tom and myself  along with Moss went for a bimble  around the Old Oswestry Racecourse. It's  higher up than Oswestry so there was snow on the ground. Beautiful white, crunchy snow.... bliss. The sky was so blue but it was bitter cold. I don't  think you can beat these type of days. Whilst I love warm, sunny days I totally adore cold snowy days with blue skies and even snow falling. It was so quiet up there, as if the world was holding its breath.

As we stood looking out over mid Wales a huge snow cloud drifted over and totally changed the sky and ambience  of  the  scenery in a beautiful, magical way.

As we drove home via Llansilin the snow really started to fall and the visibility dropped dramatically. My excitement rose. Unfortunately  the snow didn't  stick but it still made me very happy to see.

Whilst the day of my birthday didn't go as I  planned this day more than made up for it.

Those who don't  believe in magic will never find it.

Toodle pip for now.

Blessed Be xx
